As it has a rich history and culture, which is reflected in its cuisine, architecture, and lifestyle.

The city of Antalya is also famous for its beaches. You can find them in all shapes and sizes here, from the long stretches of sand to secluded coves with crystal-clear waters.

Çıralı Beach

Also known as Olympos, due to the remains that stem from the ancient Lycian town, Çıralı is certainly one of the most beautiful beaches in Antalya with a historic twist. The beach is usually filled with locals staying in one of the many family-run hostels and guesthouses in the area. You’ll love Çıralı because of the natural beauty and down-to-earth vibe without the big resorts for which Antalya is known.

Konyaaltı Beach

One of the most popular beaches in Antalya, Konyaaltı is tucked between the cliffs and the Beydağları mountains, which means it’s stunning, of course. The beach stretches for miles, which means you’ll always have plenty of sand in the sun. In addition to the several restaurants and cafes in the surrounding villages that are mostly frequented by locals.

Phaselis Beach

You’ll need to rent a car to discover all the amazing spots along this stretch north of Olympos, which is also known as the Turquoise Coast. The ruins of Phaselis, an ancient Greek and Roman city, are split between three small, swimmable bays.

Lara Beach

If you’re a fan of beautiful fine sand, then Lara Beach is the perfect place for you. With around 180ha (450 acres) of land, it has plenty of beach clubs, restaurants, cafes, and nightclubs, which means it’s the place for entertainment by the water’s edge. Here, you can also get active with beach volleyball and watersports.

Patara Beach

Even though Patara is a few hours from Antalya’s city center by car, it is worth a mention since it’s one of the most beautiful beaches in the region. We’re talking 18km (11mi) of white sand where the dark blue waves come crashing in endlessly. This beach also has a protected area for loggerhead sea turtles, who come here to lay their eggs.

Antalya is a beautiful city on the Mediterranean coast of Turkey.
